Thanks for visiting our website. The Prairie Oaks 10K and 5K offered a most beautiful setting for any active running and walking enthusiasts offering a beautiful tree line course, wooden bridges and lakes galore. We appreciate the efforts of the Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks in hosting this early spring event and we look forward to see you on Saturday, March 3rd beginning at 9am.
Prairie Oaks Metro Park (Darby Bend entrance) is located at 2755 Amity Road just west of Hilliard. There are several entrances into this beautiful park so make sure it's the Darby Bend entrance. The trails within the park are popular with a number of running clubs and cross country teams. The trails are "runner and walker friendly" and consist of a hard gravel surface vs. a simple ground surface. The 5K race will begin at 9am and the 10K will begin about 9:10am.
All participants will receive the official Prairie Oaks 10K and 5K long sleeve running shirt and a great looking finisher's medal. Finish line food and beverage will also be included.
This event will be electronically timed my MyLaps. Each individual participant in the race will receive a race number with a timing tag attached. Awards will be issued to the top three individuals in the following age divisions: 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Final results will be posted immediately following the race. If you qualify for an award you must contact the following address by March 10th: linda@ultrafitusa.com. In your message leave your name, age group, place and event (5K or 10K), We will confirm your placement and send your award via first class mail.
Race entry fee: 5K-$38 10K-$45
(Includes race-shirt, electronic chip timing, attractive medal, finish line food and beverage).
